Will this fit?

There is a 26-pitch Hydro for sale on the swap forum. It fits Bravos and TRS drive. I have a Bravo-1X. Will this fit? The Hydro is a solid hub prop. Any issues there? I am currently running a Bravo 1 26p prop. Any big differences between these two props? is any one better then the other?

Yes, no, yes and no.

If it's a Q-IV they are quite different. The Q-IV is a semicleaver and the B1 is a round ear prop. The Hydro has much more of a sternlifting caracter than the B1. Also, your stock B1 is actually a 25"ana-bit pitch, where as the Hydro is about 26". Whether one is better than the other, is simply a question about the application. In terms of quality, they are both good castings.
Why do you wish to change prop?

I do not really need a change. Hell, I haven't even had my new boat in the water yet! :lolhit: Just looking for options to play with, and I want to have a spare prop. I believe in carrying spares at all times, and a prop is one of them. When you say "more stern lifting", how does that help exactly? I am coming from the slower sedan-bridge boating scene.

Yes it will fit. I may require additional attaching hardware.

It will take more trim to carry the bow.

I applaud your having a spare propeller.

@ Brett..... Do you have any used 32- 34 maxes laying around? Sorry about the tread jack

Right now everything is new.
As the season progresses, we may have used stuff from the test prop program.

Thanks for the inquiry.

run what you have first. you might want more pitch, you might want less. hell, you might want another sundancer!!! but see where you are before considering any changes.
