drive gear ratio and prop size
 

I have a 1.50:1 drive ratio with 26p 4 blade prop on my scarab 29 with single 454 w/b&m 250 blower arond 650-700 hp i want to have the best cruise and top speed. What change can i expect with a 1.36:1 drive ratio?? Better cruise or top end speed?
What can i benefit or loose??

Your speed will most likey not change.
Your cruise might grow slightly.
R's will drop 300-400
Why change g.r.? I'd keep the 1.5:1 and play with props.
