Question
I recently just trashed my drive and prop and will be fixing my 2000 h2x with a 7.4 mpi. I have what I believe is a 1.5 drive ratio with a 23p mirage plus the best gps speed I seen with just me and a 1/4 tank of fuel was 59.2 at 4400 rpm giving me a slip of 7%. If I plug a 1.36 ratio into the calculator I get a slip of 14%. Would I truly be able to achieve a slip of only 7% or is it possible I have a 1.36 drive? The motor is 40 hrs fresh and I reach max rpm at 3/4 throttle and get nothing more when I pin it. Just trying to cover my bases as I get the drive fixed and a new prop after an encounter with a submerged object at 30+ mph! Should I go with a 21p when I get a new prop? Also there is no markings on my bravo drive so I'm not sure of the current ratio. It does have the low water pickup that some have told me did not come on the drives from the baja factory. Thanks. Larry

7% would definately be low for this boat but is possible.
Get the serial number from the drive and I can check the ratio. Brett |
The stickers are long gone is there another place they are located on the drive?
