Can prop pitch affect ride?

I have a Velocity 280 that I am trying to dial in. I'm running a Bravo 28p, but I have tested a 30 and 32. I noticed that with the 28 I get a pretty good chine walk right at 80 with a 1/4 tank and 300 lbs in passengers. With the 30 and a full tank and four adults I was smooth as silk right to 90. The 32 was pretty smooth also with 1/2 tank and just myself. I don't know top speed as the speedo broke on my way out of the harbor. Is it possible that running the 28 at higher rpm is causing the problem or is it strictly weight and water? The 28 and 30 seem to like running with very little trim, the 32 seemed to like more trim, it's hard to tell without a speedo.

First question is, has any work been done to any of the props? Anything including repairs, mods or just a clean up or buff? If so, that can change everything.

Second, more pitch typically creates more stern lift. (you're not seeing that)
Third, weight in the boat can decrease chine walk cause the prop has more to lift.

The trim changes can be do to the first statement.

The props were box stock, the 28 and 30 were from you. I had a 27 Hydromotive that chine walked real bad, I'm assuming from stern lift. Would raising the drive alleviate the problem?

From us stock?

Yes the stern lift is stronger on Q4 hydros.

Raising the drive can help since the prop finds the surface quicker and can not continue to climb but, this will also decrease trim capacity.
Finding the best combination is the trick.

Yes the 28 and 30 were from you. I purchased the 28 before I rebuilt the motor, now it's to small. I tried the 30 through your test program. I couldn't get good water to really test it so I returned it. I'm hoping to get my hands on a 32 this spring. I was hitting 90mph and 5600rpm with 4 adults and a full tank with the 30 so I wanted to get something a bit bigger to see how it fit with my power curve.
