38 donzi zr MPH
Just got our new boat. A 2007 38zr with 525's (staggered)
It seems that most with this boat are hitting high 80's on fresh water. We are only getting 79 mph with 32 pitch 5 blade props spinning in. Anyone have any ideas? At 3,000 rpm 42mph At 3,500 rpm 53mph At 4,000 rpm 62mph Wot and over trimming it (about 6) I can get it to 4,900 rpm (boat has about 100hrs on it) In side the props are very carboned up looking and when idling areound the motors smell very rich. Is this normal for 525's? Thanks for the help |
Look in the other section, markdonzi had a ZR like that. PM him. Pretty sure you need a 30 pitch wheel....the 525s like higher RPM than 4900.

Your slip % at WOT is over 20%. This is a bit too high.
Are the propellers Mercury props? Have they been worked? Also, do you know the X dimension on the boat? The ZR hulls are sensitive to X dimension. We could try some other props. Call us if we can help. Brett |
