From Bravo1Prop 24`to B1, 22`?

500 EFI B1-1´36-1 turns a B1 Prop to max 4600rpm with good speed not sure exakt speed,what happens with a B1 22`prop will I gain speed,thanks.

probably! you will be able to spin it faster which will compensate for the pitch loss. then since you turning in higher rpms (not sure where the 500 efi WOT range is) but you are making more HP at the top of your range which will be able to turn the 22 even faster.

BUT, your cruise speed WILL suffer at the same RPMS!

I went from a 25p m+ to 24p B1 and my cruise went from 3500 at 50mph to 3800 @ 50. I gained top end speed from when I brought the boat down to this hot and humid a$$ place (south Louisiana) I gained top end from 61 to 65.

hope this helps

If I'm getting this right, you will be in the over 7000 rpm range.
What are you trying to do?

I think he is saying he has a 1.36 gear ratio bravo, spinning a 24p bravo 1 prop, asking how many rpms he will gain going to a 22p bravo 1.

500 efi has a max rpm range of 48-5200

Oh yeah. Dah.......

You will gain about 400 rpm and throttle response. Speed gains if any will be minimal and only occur because you are further into the HP curve.

Thanks guys I got it,not allways good in my english writing, sorry, but you did understand and I`m glad.
I think I`ll stay with the 24`,or is it worth it trying a labB 24`.

bbladesprops 07-17-2014 04:20 PM

Labbing the 24 is a better performance maneuver.
