Hi

Iam new to this Forum... im willing to buy a 1996 Fountain Fever 27... i have a new 540ci 600hp engine and bravo one X drive... Can someone tell me about this setup? and what would you guys suggest a prop for this boat? any answers about top speed? i live in Eu its Salt water over here

I think a B1 28 would probably be what you need if you have a 1.5:1 drive. Speed, around 80mph.

I had a Hydromotive 25p spinning 5,000 rpm behind a 502mpi with cmi exhaust (probably 425hp) and hit 70 gps.
I agree that a 28 will probably be about right and low 80s
The Hydromotives do seem to work better on the 27 fever than the bravo 1 though.

Okmany thanks for your help guys :) this week im going to see the boat and if it will be in good condition im gonna buy it... my drive is 1.5 gear ratio.... exhaust on my engine are Eddie marine manifolds with dry tail pipes..... just another question do you guys think that in salt water the boat will runn a little mph less than a boat in fresh water? :)

The opposite, salt should be a tad faster.

Ok then thanks for your help some people over here say that boats in fresh water run faster than in salt... just another question please is lucas oil Sae 50 is good for marine engines... what oil viscosity do you suggest please? :)

Just thought I'd add that every 27' Fountain we ever got from the factory came with a left hand rotation prop.
