Rubex hub for mirage prop?
 

Hello! Does anyone know if Rubex (102) hub fits mirage 25p plus (non solid hub) prop??

Why not use the FloTorq hub system?

Cause having rbx-102 hub in my hands just now :) Isn`t Flo torq almost same? Please post if you have seen or heard about this type of combination, need to order prop fast!

We don't sell or use the Rubex inserts. I have to assume they will work with the correct hardware since they are to go into square bore hubs. Most companies have used Mercury's dimensions for that.
Make sure the Mirage you are looking at is a square bore not a round rubber hub.

No problem using a Rubex prop hub for Merc's 350 hp and down especially compared to that Merc Plastic flow torque.

The Merc plastic flow torque for the money IMO is not that good compared to Rubex especially for stock low HP apps.

In my day use to sell about 100 to 200 per year of these Rubex hub kits without a problem and the Merc flow torque Plastic insert would crack over time especially on very light impact. Again stock apps 350 hp and below.

At BBLADES we recommend SS hub inserts over 300 HP. Mercury recommends SS over 400 HP.
The beauty of the Mercury Delrin insert is the ease of installation and the cost.
We also recommend keeping 1 or 2 extra inserts on board.
But most importantly is the ability for the Mercury Delrin insert to shatter upon impacts to save drive line components better than any rubber hub assembly.
Also, you don't need to re-torque a Delrin insert if you seat it properly and torque to 55 ft/lbs or slightly above as suggested by the video.

I have question if you have a square bore mirage prop
with a rubber insert ,can you press out hub and use the delrin in that?
