What diameter to go with
Wondering if anyone could help me with my prop diameter question both props I currently run are 14.25 diameter
1st one is a 21p vengeance which I like but it runs my boat on the rev limiter at 57 mph on gps 2nd one is a 22p turbo that drops me down to around 4600 and leaves me at about 55-56 mph on gps my question is do I go bigger diameter on a 21p or smaller diameter on a 22p for my next prop any help would be great |
If it's a small block, alpha, and light or semi light boat they seem to like smaller diameter props...cleavers exempt. But, ultimately, your boat will decide.
Maybe try the next Vengeance up a size. |
I have tried the vengeance in a 22p 14.25 dia. With same results the boat has a 300mag mpi with a bravo 1 drive

Still hits rev limiter....go up another.

Mercruiser does not list Vengeance in a 22P.

Sorry the 22p vengeance leaves me at around 4600 rpm not on the rev limiter like the 21p I thought about getting a enertia but they are a little pricey so that's why I'm looking for some tips I like the hole shot of the 21p but didn't no how much bigger I should go diameter to drop me down to that 4800 mark thanks for the help

I'm almost positive it is a 22 vengeance I'll have to look at that again tonight
|
There are no 22 Vengeance.
On a pplication such as yours, diameter isn't as big of a factor as some other set ups. You need to be most concerned about pitch to control rpm and number of blades to control the boats personality. Brett. |
So you guys were right ive true a 22p renegade and 22p Turbo the 21p vengeance I'm running is 13.75 diameter
