Signature propellers
Has anyone used signature propellers SL 4? How did it compare to a bravo. Need some 30s and can get them for half the price of merc stuff.
|
They are a copy of the real Bravo 1.
However, the real deal is more consistent in geometry. We sell their propellers but stick with the real Bravo 1 for those applications that need them. We do like theor 4 blade B2 props and B3 propellers. Brett |
I have 30p sl4 . They hold their own. I'm looking a the 30p 5 blades. I would like o see better cruise speeds and little mor bow lift. Drives are 3 1/2 below deadrise. Getting some slip. 41 ft performance twin 572. Boat had 28 bravo 1's when I bought it. They were in ruff shape

5 blade props will give you more stern lift not bow lift. However, 5 blades props can be modified to create more bow lift than their stock version therein creating more overall lift. Consider trying our 4-SPEED. Brett |
What about sinking the dives s little deeper. My boat seems to flatten out st higher speed
|
Ill look at your 4 speed

Did not see a 4 speed on your site

BBLADES 4-SPEED (sterndrive application) from BBlades Professional Propellers
That is a link to the BBLADES 4-SPEED. Dropping the drive will give more bow lift. It will also increase drag and affect speed. You will also get meore stern lift with the 5 blade unless the diameter is reduced. Brett |
Thank you

What size of prop should I be running
I have a 32ft Sleekcraft Heritage with twin 500EFI's with bravo 1's with 4 blade 30 pitch props, at WOT I'm running at 5200 RPMs at 80mph with trim at about 50% up. When I get out of the hole the props start to cavitat and I have to back out of the gas. Should I jump up to a 32 pitch 4 blade?

Brett - If you reduce the 5 blade prop diameter to get less stern lift, will that affect bow lift (get more, the same or less)?
Because the stern is not lifting as much, the prop will stay deeper with more water volume above them increaseing potential leverage on the transom. That leverage is what carries the bow. So yes, you should get more bow lift. Removing diameter requires matching blade area and thicknesses to original spec. Brett |

No. I would rather see a conservative Lab done to the 30's with a cup adjustment to hold the water to the blades better during planning. You still have a 200 rpm window till you get to the rev limiters. The adjustment should be able to be done while gaining 0-100 rpm and increase overall performance. Brett |

i like that 4 speed .its more round eared, correct. Do you offer any type of trial program or possibly come there and try something
Yes this is a round eared propeller. We do offer a test program where you can try the prop for $55 for 15 days without purchasing the prop. This way you know what you are buying prior to purchasing. Here is a link to the program. BBlades Propellers | BBLADES Propeller Test Program Brett |
