Default signature sl5 prop vs hydromotive p5x ??

Does anyone have any thoughts or anecdotal data between these two props? I can't find, like, any information from anyone who has used one. I tried a p5x last year and it really got my slip numbers down and seems to get the boat out of the water a little better. But what was on the boat when I got it was a 26P Bravo 1 - which I could spin to the rev limiter and had pretty high slip, especially mid range. Boat seemed to drag in the water as well. So, I tried a 25P p5x (went down a pitch since adding a blade) but at full load I could back off throttle and I was still hitting the rev limiter, engine just wanted to spin it. So, I need more pitch.

But my biggest concern with the sl5 is that the diameter is bigger (15 11/16 vs 15 of the p5x) and I'm not sure how that will change the response from my boat. trying to compare the blade design side by side they look pretty darn close.

I have a 575sci with a superchiller and small pulley on an Advantage Victory 28 MCOB - the thing runs great. Big heavy wide boat not build for speed, but that engine will sure spin the prop - it does whine about it though

Call us anytime and ask for me if you want to discuss not only your set up and the options we offer as well as our new castings and a test without buying program, all other manufacturers specifics as well.

And I always thought that OSO was a discussion forum used to share knowledge with all the members.
