Revolution 4 prop info needed
I recently purchased a Baja 24 Outlaw and the boat came with a Mirage 23 Plus prop as well as a Revolution 4 20 prop. I did some searching on the board and it looks like the Mirage 23 is a good prop for the Baja, but I am not sure about Revolution 4 20 PN 8M0070052 20P RH. If the Revolution is not a good fit for my boat I may sell it and I would be interested to get opinions on what a pair price would be. Thanks! |
You won't know if the Rev 4 is a good fit until you try it. It will behave differently than the Mirage. Run both and get good data on GPS speed vs rpm for each prop in 200 or 250 rpm increments from idle to WOT. Look at where your max rated HP or rpm range is and prop to that.
The Rev 4 has significantly more blade area and holding power. |
I have a 272 Islander and love the Rev4. I had zero loss of top speed over the M+ and my boat is dramatically better everywhere else. It’s worth a try. |

Thanks. What pitch Rev4 do you have? |
If you are anywhere in the 23" range.... try the Mercury Enertia Eco 23" prop!! Seriously the best prop I have used on my Donzi 35 ZFX with twin Yamaha 350s at 77mph GPS!

my boat came with a 23P Rev 4, jumped on plane with 60 mph top end. found a 25P M+ on ebay for $175. 5 mph faster but plows water and revs to the moon for about 15 seconds before it gets on plane. not worth it for 5 mph. Rev4 went back on and the boats has far superior all around manners again.
