Need prop help
I previously had a Donzi 35ZR with factory props with side by side motors. I then sold it and recently bought a 38ZR with Hering 5 blade 32 pitch props, staggered 525’s, bravo 1 XR drives on stand-off boxes.
My question and concern is this: When I put the boat in drive and give it about 30% throttle, right around 2000 RPMs the starboard motor revs up and jumps between 2000 RPMs all the way up to 2700 rpm’s and it literally sounds like the clutch of your car was slipping. Once the boat planes out which takes forever the RPMs level out on both motors. I do use my tabs and have them trimmed all the way down until the boat planes out. My question is, is the RPMs jumping up and down normal for staggered motors and Hering props? Several people say it is normal due to the staggered motors and due to the air around the props. I’m new to the racing props so any help would be appreciated.
