Default prop blowout

I have a question around prop blowout just prior to getting on plane. 32 Sunsation Innovator 496 mag Ho's with XR drives, all stock. 30 pitch Bravo props. Boat runs and handles great. Just as the bow starts to come down the props blowout once on plane all good. This being my first twin engine boat I would like to know if it is normal on these applications. Thanks and happy boating.

Right as it pops up start bringing up the tabs and backing the sticks down and it will bite again.

Tabs down and drives tucked to get on plane. 3,000 rpm and modulate throttle to keep it there. Once on plane raise tabs to neutral then raise drives to neutral. Dial in from there.

Not trying to be the wise old sage here, but every boat is different, every prop on that boat is different, the only way to figure out the different set up is to try. Simply put , just go out there and try different approaches till you hit the one that works.

I have three sets of props for my boat, they all have their own personalities, took me a some time to figure them out. It's all part of what we call the fun of having a perf boat and looking for that ever elusive best that I can be chit.

What rpm are you seeing at wot ? I doubt that boat came with those props from the factory and why would he need to bury the tabs to get on plane in a 32 ft boat, Ive never used tabs to get on plane 27,33 or the 38

not sure on WOT RPM’s yet I have a PS leak that I need to get fixed before I do that the imco hyd steering does not like air. I’m probably the only one on OSO that thinks his boat is plenty fast enough. Lol. I’ll get that leak fixed and report back. As for the tabs on launch I have not used them. I just feather the sticks a bit and it bites. Thanks for the help.

I know of a lot of guys that do. Its to help push the bow over the hump and not drag so long. I dont use them personally maybe every now and then getting up on plain in some waves or chop.
