42 Sonic with serious cavitation

Morning. I recently purchased a 1995 Sonic 42SS. It has a hard time getting on plane. A lot of vibration, cavitation and slip. Also once on plane the slightest deviation in throttle and props lose bite and I slow to a crawl and half to start over. Boat is a 1995. Power is 2 - 540 blower motors with supposed 700 hp. Props - Maximus 5 blade 26 pitch. Drives 1:50 XR's. Not sure if they're turning in or out because I don't know enough about the term. Is top of props turning towards each other " in " or bottom of props turning toward each other " in ". Thank you in advance for any advice or suggestions.

Top of props turning toward each other is "turning in" ………….. Top of props away from each other would be "turning out".

Are the vent plugs in the props or Out? ... and the hub kit is in good shape?
