Donzi 38 ZX Whipples / SCX Drives
Anyone running a 38 ZX with whipples? I know there are a few threads on the topic but no one really has chimed in that is actually running it. Considering going with whipples + SCX drives in the off season and looking to hear from anyone who has done it before on this boat.

Obviously a Cig is different but I have SCXs w around 750HP ea and I made 4 yrs before I sent them back to Imco to go thru.
Fred said I could just swap sides and get a couple more yrs but I decided to just have him go thru them anyway.
XRs failed a few times a Year- Wish I would have done it sooner $$$
What are you putting Whipples on? that will probably be my next upgrade in a few yrs IF I still have it. I had 575s to start with.
Sounds like it will be a Nice project

I'm running 525's that we had rebuilt last offseason and everything beefed up a bit. Planning on running a "stage 3" whipple around 750hp each. Currently the 525's are stock, just blew a XR last season and with such a heavy boat definitely think we need to upgrade the drives regardless of if we add power.
She's a big heavy boat!
