Only boat I have seen to come close...and it didn't
Only boat I have seen to come close...and it didn't... I have personally seen this boat on Lake Ontario more than once. So has another member on here. The boat is for real. The first day I was out running and the sound of his power plant turned my head...then this little boat cleared the harbour mouth. The pier hid it completely. Not what I expected to see let me tell you. Have a look at the videos. He has always driven it with caution (as he damn well should). Only on calm days and doesn't trim up...at all lol. I don't see tabs or hyd steering...that's scary! At 89.1 mph. current dial in...wow...looking for it bad...Have seen him around for at least 4 years.
Now you have a bit of length on him but both hulls will be quite similar in their hydrodynamics etc. He is 18.5 foot Stingray with a lot more cubic inches than your talking but it's an NA motor not blown. Needs to be set up a bit, doesn't idle well and rolls over like to much timing...or too little starter lol. 632 ci BB engine start up video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFURzEJTM-o On water fire up 632 BB without hatch, clearer view...a weee tight lol: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXoZ7P-d0H4 Person on shore shot him coming in under pretty heavy throttle. Running and sounding pretty good: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lPwhC4tFUI On water closer passes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYjFubwlWK8 When I heard and saw it run that first day I was some surprised. He baits the offshores in and pounds quite a few on the calm days. Enjoy the vids as you shake your heads lol. |
This is a 632 cubic inch Merlin that originally made 700Hp. The boat is custom made by Revera Boats with a mold taken of the 1989 19 foot Sea Ray bow rider. In it's first trim he achieved 84.3 mph GPS. @ 4600 rpm using 34 pitch 4 blade propeller and 1.5:1 bravo gear case. He then replaced heads with AFR Aluminum heads. After changes.....GPS top speed of 89.1 mph with 4 adults on board, using Hydromotive 35" pitch 4 blade propeller and nose cone.
