I did on a 47 fountain. cost was 3500$ for a nice but not complete wrap. boat was not used too much but was strong, durable and nice to look at. definatly cheaper than a complete or partial paint!

It looks better in these photos than I original thought, I would pull the interior and bring it inside and let the wives go to town with cleaning, then pull the carpet (the 3 inch high stain looks scary) you can replace it with new carpet yourself easily.
After the wives are done with cleaning you may only need to replace a few panels

Clear coat can be sanded and re done easily

I am pretty sure double r in Orillia has a paint booth that will fit that sucker

Give the vinyl a general cleaning, then hit it with some warm water and MR. Clean Magical Erasers. You might be pleasantly surprised how it cleans up. Try not to use bleach products because it weakens the stitching. Apple scented dish soap is nice.

Also, if you are on a tight budget, you might consider ''Dying" the vinyl if its in good shape on not torn. I did it to mine 2 years ago. It has held up great! My seats were faded dirty white.

Cool ride, my only advice on the resto is make a list and do a few things a year so that it's up and ready again for summer every year. We see a lot of resto threads where guys tear into the whole boat at once and then lose interest and never finish them. I've been doing mine in stages and I have to say actually getting to use it in the summer really helps motivate me.

good point about not tearing doen everything at same time...

Very cool piece glad somebody bought it and will bring it back to life. You are not far from me at all in London Ontario i see. I am just south of Detroit on Lake Erie. Might have to drop in and see the build. I have a great crew of mechanics I use here if you need any advise or direction feel free to ask. Good luck and Congrats on the new ride. Hope to see it running soon. Laszlo

Just a quick update. Dont have any pics yet but have gone through the motors and drives this weekend. Luckily everything is checking out fairly well. There are definitely a ton of little things that need to be replaced or I am doing just to stay on top. All trim tab indicator cables shot, couple shift cables are tight, rebuild sea pumps, one water pump, one alternator, bilges, a few of the trim solenoids, steering ram rebuild etc. So far so good. Next step is boat will be prepped in my shop to clean up paint/peeling clear in order to get ready for complete wrap which will hopefully happen in march. Also removing cockpit interior for a redo as well.

Get that interior down here to Ohio. The sooner the better! New colors/carbon fiber vinyl/embroidery I can see it now.
