Restoring interior on fountain

From the Tulsa ok area and looking for recommendation in Oklahoma on good boat upholstery shop. And info would be appreciated guys thanks in advance.

Gh700xx 01-25-2014 01:11 AM

Ok how bout Texas or Missouri or Arkansas?

johnnyboatman 01-26-2014 07:59 PM

coachworks on nw 39th in okc.

Gh700xx 01-27-2014 02:39 PM

are the still in OKC tried googling them and nothing

Gh700xx 02-06-2014 01:11 AM

So anymore suggestions? I've done calling around and most around here are way too high for what I'm wanting to do. Waves and wheels is expensive but after talking to them they seem like an awesome bang for the buck just a little out of my price range right now lol. Looking for something g local but for bit much more I could go to Loto and have it done just trying to not spend that much.

boatnt 02-06-2014 09:51 AM

if you could do some of the work yourself you can buy the skins direct from Fountain,,prices are fair and quality is good..

Gh700xx 02-06-2014 10:34 AM

Wonder if they would do the skins with different colors ??? My boat was painted and they changed the color scheme of the boat.

boatnt 02-06-2014 10:41 AM

I think they would,,I chanced my colors and design on my sun pad,,
quality was good and nobody was able to touch their prices,,just make sure you get a turn around time.
Guy is the upholstery guy,,ask to talk to him

Gh700xx 02-06-2014 10:54 AM

Ok cool I'll give it a shot.

Gh700xx 02-06-2014 12:41 PM

well that may be the way I go I talked to Guy and he quoted me a helluva price on an updated cockpit using my old patterns but the newer materials and colors and embossed logos so I may have to go that route I think it would be hard to beat the quality and the price he quoted me.

Gh700xx 02-14-2014 09:01 PM

Think I found a local guy that does good work he is semi retired and does it on the side. He has been recommended by a few locals that have had work done. I'll post up pics when it's done and give a review.

Gh700xx 02-17-2014 06:12 AM

Gh700xx 02-28-2014 11:31 PM

Mines worse than that at least you have room to get to most of em lol. My 27 is cramped. I now officially have all the interior out and all but a boulle pieces cut out and to the upholstery shop. The rear seat is done and looks good and the side panels around the back seat looks good too. Dropping the front bolsters off tomorrow.

ttuton 03-01-2014 06:42 AM

I know this nightmare all too well. I redid my 93 27' fever's interior a couple years back. It was worth all the hard work in the end though!

Gh700xx 03-01-2014 08:26 AM

yeah I think it will be that and my boat was painted but never converted as far as interior color goes so were changing up the color scheme and the way the engine hatch is done while were at it.

The engine hatch will be only two pieces of wood when were done one big piece on the back and the one narrow piece that holds the headrest like most of the newer boats are done. were taking some of the extra seams out of the back seat as well and smoothing it up and everything that was silver in mine will be bright orange everything that was red will be black. the main color will still be white though so it ought to look good with the black and orange breaking up the white. and the headrest will be a one piece almost full width headrest instead of individual ones for each "seat"/person in the back seat.

I measured every piece and created a spreadsheet for the sewing. There are two schools of thought on the single backer for the hatch, one being a nicer stronger method , but then you are creating this large balloon effect when running out in the water. I discussed it with the seamstress and she recommended a seam, glued to the hatch . So I decided to go two piece instead of all the long skinny pieces

When I had Fountain make my new sun pad I had them sew in some pull straps so I dont have that balloon/parachute affect,

Gh700xx 03-01-2014 09:20 AM

even though mine will be the one piece it will have the factory horse shoe style stripe fountain had on it so I may have him make a pull or two using on or two of those to keep from having the parachute thing trying to happen

Gh700xx 03-01-2014 04:13 PM

Picked up a few pieces today trying to get the pics posted.

Thanks 5050 I appreciate it.

Seat turned out real nice. My '94 had those same seams in the center of the bottoms. Always was real careful to not step on the seams and pull on the stitching there. My '99 doesn't have those seams, each seat bottom is a single piece.

Do you think the passengers will get an attention getter when they sit back against the orange and black?

Gh700xx 03-02-2014 07:00 AM

Lol Duno if they will or not the way it's in there unless your nose into the sun it's in the shade so I'm hoping it won't be too bad.

Gh700xx 05-16-2014 03:11 PM

I hope to have some pics up by Monday or Tuesday maybe. I got almost all the stereo stuff in and wired and the engine just needs a couple fuel issues worked out.

thanks man appreciate it.

The dash is next those poor gauges lol also im still not used to the goofy throttles on the left B.S. so that may have to go when I re-do the dash.

Gh700xx 05-21-2014 12:25 PM

Thanks man appreciate the upload. The only thing that bugs me and might kinda hash itself out is the very corners of the front of the head rest is kinda pulled up just a little. But that may settle some.
