Blueprint engine

Has anyone installed a blueprint 540 engine? Worth the money? Will it work?

I have history with Blueprint engines.....not a good one.

My buddy bought a 355 for a Camaro a few years ago. The cam went in 500 miles. They wouldn't help him at all. Just my .02.

I personally would use a reputable engine builder.

Formulasinmate,

Thank you for your interest in BluePrint Engines! The 540 that we have available on our website was originally designed and intended for a street application and not marine use, because of this unfortunately we would not have a warranty on that engine in a marine application. Currently we do have a marine specific 540 going through our R&D process and we are hoping to have all information and the engine available by mid to late September. Please let me know if you have any further questions and I will be happy to help.

Jonesyfxr,

Would you be able to provide me with any information on your friends engine, I would really like to look into that for you because that is definitely not our warranty process here. You can either post it here or shoot me a PM with that information.

Thanks,

A friend of mine had issues with a 496 Marine Stroker as well.

I own a Automotive facility in ohio (legendary looks) and we have used blueprint engines multiple times. We had a failure once (which was absolutely the customers fault) they literally went out of their way to correct it at no charge to anyone. Extremely impressed

I have been through this with Blueprint before on another forum. There hasn't been anything good that came out of it. The kid was out a lot of money for 19 year old, with no help from Jegs or Blueprint.

A friend of mine had bad luck as well with a small block for his street car! I would look elsewhere.
