That's not a bad thing. Less likely to be covered up once they got a little burn on them and nothing better than a set of twins in the open air...

Not much to show for. Picked up a brand new engine and worked on the other 2 the past weeks. Most of the engine parts we need are on the way and I hope I can pick em up at my shipper today, so we can put them together. I have send the transmissions to Onsite Diesel Repair in Ft Meyers.

Today a new team of fiber specialists start to make some modifications on the boat and start to work on the paintjob (Gelcoat).

That is plenty to show for! Better than no progress at all! Was one of the engines too bad to use?

Cool thread

Both engines that came out where fine. However I was able to buy a brand new engine for an offer I couldn't refuse, still in the box. So that left me with 3 and a dilemma. Use the used ones and keep the new one as spare. But for how long you going to keep a brand new engine as a spare engine? Another 10 years unused in a container is also a waste. There is not really a market over here to sell it, shipping it to the US to sell is also a problem cause there is no way to do so without renting a complete container. So I'm thinking to put in the new one.

use the third one to experiment and see how much hp you can squeeze out of it. Preferably the most worn of the 3.

Jack Clark or Errol Lanier would be the experts to speak with if you have any questions about the power and drive set up. They were the first guys doing those thriller tour boats. Saluti, Cadillac
