Powerquest 380 Avenger Refurb

Hey guys. I'm posting some pictures of the upgrades we did to our 2000 PQ 380 over the winter. I cannot take credit for most of the upgrades as I do not have any type of building big enough to put the boat inside. Anyway, the entire boat was painted by Mitcher T. As you can see in the pictures, the old graphics were dated and faded. So I opted for all white. It's a high gloss white that's also used on the Sunsation boats. Mitch did a great job and was done when he said he would be done. He tinted the windshield for me too. Went with a 20% tint. It gives it a good look with the white paint, but it's still functional. Next the boat went straight down to Dave at XT Innovations in Ohio for all new interior. He redid the cockpit and cabin. No more teal and purple! Dave was also great to work with. I had a basic idea of what I wanted, but nothing was set in stone. Dave sent numerous pictures and renderings showing different color/fabric options. Once we pulled the trigger on a design, the boat was done in about two weeks. In the pictures you can see that the old seats were faded and out dated, but still in good shape. The new colors really modernize the boat even though it is 15 years old. Other upgrades not in the pictures are a brand new Sunbrella helm and cockpit cover as well as a full cover. Final upgrade was the aluminum Manning trailer. This was actually done last summer, but Manning was equally as pleasurable to work with. I know there are tons of horror stories about marine service providers, just wanted to share a quick story and a few pictures about our experience with these guys.

Remaining upgrades for this year are: gauges, steering wheel and throttle/shifter controls

Sorry the pictures aren't really in any type of order, but you can tell which ones are before and after.

Hope it doesn't snow on your way home, it will look like ten tires and a chrome grill going down the road! Kidding aside, it looks sharp, very clean. Hope you can float it soon!

Looks great, did you decide just to keep it? I know you kicked around selling.

Like anything else it has its price. But I'm planning on keeping it. As much as I want something else this boat just works well for us. We spend roughly 25 nights per summer on the boat, so you just can't beat it for this size boat.

Agree. We did many overnights on our 34.

Where do you typically boat?

St Clair. Typically stay at metro beach every Friday and Saturday night. Usually hit PIB couple times a year and traverse city area once a year.

We usually roll through Metro many times in the summer, never saw you. I'll keep an eye out and maybe we can grab a beer.

If you are on FB look up Lake Saint Clair Powerboat Club. We post up fun runs on there...good group of people.

Sounds good. If I'm not there I'm at gull or muscamoot. Usually have an all white 32 fountain with me too.

Neither are my scene, but I typically rip by Gull going to or from Port Huron or St. Clair for lunch.

Cool. We go up river a lot as well. Usually eat lunch on the black river. Stay up there at the state marina on occasion.
