From the first post 8.3.16..........my how things have changed...........the 40 OL is lookin sweet
When Dave [who lives as far from me as one can can get on this planet,, Australia] said he was purchasing a 40 Baja Outlaw, my first thought was twins or triple 525's and Bravo 1 drives. Should make a nice long range diesel cruiser. When I learned he was ditching a pair of supercharged 900hp BBC's for diesels, my next thought was Jim Darr has a new screen name I've missed...

Yeah I am a VERY lucky ‘person’.
You are right on that score.
But let me tell you one thing.
Kidturbo, otherwise known as Ken is a man I trusted by engaging only via this site via personal message........so in other words a huge leap of faith.
Let me tell you, Ken and I have developed a sense of trust that brothers would envy.
We now often chat via Skype and are now working through doing a ‘Poker Run’ on this very boat and very soon......stay tuned!
Ken has delivered on every score and every economics without a doubt.
I would happily place my trust to build a boat again, without doubt, if Ken was running the show......
Kidturbo has NEVER let me down..........he is the MAN!

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the compliments. But ya can't tackle a project like this without a high level of dedication from everyone involved. Dave's vision and determination through all the unforeseen BS that comes along with this type of floating R&D project has been amazing.
Then you have another several-dozen people off the top of my head who've contributed skills and labor into some piece of this boat. Looking back over the pictures, I can't help but think of all the strange' and extremely talented people you encounter on such an endeavor. Now gotta wrap this up quickly since there is a big line of people I promised boat rides in exchange for helping..

Filled a few more hole this week. The 5" tips look pretty small next to these drives. Started working on all the hydraulics routing through boxes, and planning the driveshaft loops.
