I am on the other end Wobble. All ready cut the big round Merc engine connectors off.
Issue is, this OEM harness has couple heavy gauge battery / key wires, then a bunch of smaller 15-18 gauge wires. So we'll run two different type weatherpak connectors to the engine harness, and save bit of time on the console end since it's outa the weather.
Plus they fall about 2ft shy of the reaching switches nicely without that extension. Baja did a nice job wrapping them, so trying to recycle much a possible. :-)

Couple pics of the cockpit side panels back from upholstery this week.
We added a some padded and pleated material to modernize the dated side pockets. Black netting for contrast, and should help keep beach towels from flying out at speed. Bolster seats will go in last, once all the dirty work is completed.

Wrapping up drive stuff so I can drop it in an check all the seals next week before closing up the transom area. Once exhaust is on, no room to get your head in there..
Calibrating the A/D - N2k converters on the drive sync last night.

Tail pipes and tips back from the polisher. Which means remembering to wipe off fingerprints before taking photos.
Next, to place the mixing tubes so they best blend 100 gallons per minute, and knock down 1700F egt's...

Best part of a project like this?
Reminds us mere mortals what is possible.
if you have the back bone, patience and ck book, it is possible.
IMO, one of THEEE best builds ever, on OSO.
And a Baja of all things 😳
Thx for sharing!!!

Pulled her out yesterday to clean up the shop. Decided to tow it across the street and see if it would fit in the local car wash. The automatic wash was a no go..
First boat I've towed ya didn't need to raise the drives up for transport..
