Scarab 28 - Exhaust & seat bases
Stainless exhaust pipes are finished and installed. The diamond plates were also anodized red; tempted to do the plenum. Two new batteries along with 15 gallons of gas and we will start it up!
The stainless seat frames were made for the original seats; no drop-down. The rails have a slight tilt back for comfort, but the key to comfort will be the cushions.
The dash is assembled with all the mechanical gauge connections; it gets mounted after the engine runs and Dan checks for leaks.

Looking for more info on what mods were done to change the x-Dim and I'm building a 26'CV and I'm to that point. Should I call Dan or just wait tell your water tested and happy? I'm looking at 740hp so we are close in power.
Thanks Kyle

Ahhhhh, the CV. Love it! Same hull. You might want to wait..... but on the flip side, you could just duplicate. We went up 2" and will start with an Imco 3" shortie pushing most likely a 5-blade prop. The X-dim can be brought down with drive spacers; so if set the same height with an ITS, prop, etc., I would think you would you could keep your project moving forward without waiting for us. However, we are going to push to finish this month - and wait till we're happy. Call Dan and get his perspective. You'll be hard pressed to find a more knowledgeable builder especially when it comes to our particular hull. Post some pics; would love to see your build.

Scarab 28 - Deck Flooring & Seat rails
Dan created mock seat stands for us try seat angle & height. The original pedestals wobbled and left the seat bottom cushion flat; very uncomfortable! Dan fabricated stainless seat rails according to the height & angle selected - and then we determined the best location. The driver's seat is directly in front of the helm/steering wheel, but we set the seat far back enough to give complete comfort. The passenger's seat is set inline with the driver's seat, but closer to the gunwale making passage through the middle a little more comfortable. Dan reinforced the floor, filled in the old holes, and through-bolted the rails to the deck.
