K-Plane Amp draw
I am currently in the process of rewiring my boat with a solid state PDM and don't have access to my pumps to check amp draw on them. Does anybody happen to know the amp draw of the trim pump and k-plane pumps ?

The fuse Mercury puts on the pump is 110 amps. The standard wire is #8 which is rated at about 50 amps depending on the length

Yeah I noticed this with the stock drive trim pump but seemed excessive with the 12ga wires coming from the pumps and my pumps for my k planes call for a 20amp fuse which my PDM can handle fine. Are kplane pumps different the drive trim pumps? Once I get a few minutes I’ll bench test them before I finalize the harness.

The motors themselves draw way more than 20 amps, the relay solenoids don't. They probably draw less than an amp.
The tab pumps are pretty much the same as the trim. |
just wanted to follow up with this post incase it helps someone else. I have my tabs finally wired up through the PDM, they spike to 25amps on initial hit then drop to a constant of 15-17amps. Wired with 14 AWG tefzel wire.
