Here are a couple. Got the transom assembly and tabs on. The helm is mocked up with the controls/wheel/gauges. Also rerigged some stuff in the bilge and made some top plates for the battery boxes for my pumps.

How much trouble was it to remove the heads up display for the tabs? I'm in the process of entirely repainting mine and have everything removed and sanded but cannot seem to get the damn cables off and through the base of the dash... Just wondering if you had the same issue or not. Also, i didnt get into removing the steering wheel assembly yet, was debating on leaving the housing in and just removing the wheel (do you need a pulled to get that thing off). I see you removed the entire assembly, is that a big job. Forgive me, I havent had a lot of experience with this. Pretty much done with everything and primer next week after i finish up all the small areas. Thanks, MIKE

Hi Mike, you shouldn't have a problem removing either. It's funny you mention the heads up display because I just picked up a new display card I had my buddy make for me. I'm going to add a mechanical drive actuator so I had him add that to the display. As far as removing the cables you should have a couple cable clips under the dash holding them in place (the same quick release types found on carb plates). Just open the clips and pull the cables out. As far as the steering wheel goes if you have a center cap just remove it with a flat head screw driver and you should see a nut holding the wheel on. Remove the nut and pull the wheel off. You might need some penetrating fluid but not a puller. If your center cap doesn't come off take the six bolts out around the wheel and this will take the wheel and center cap off. Depending on which brand/style you have either of these methods should work. Once you have the wheel off if you want to remove the helm unit just remove the bolts around the beauty ring and your helm unit will come out. Post some pics of your boat...I'd like to see some progress done on another single 28 because god only knows when that other guy, with supposedly the most notorious 28, will post some:party-smiley-004:

Here is a pic of the cable clip:
