THATS RIGHT deep drive makes the boats fly straight up as in my baja which was high until I put the shortie on. so the yellow is at 18 you way need to use 5 blades but with the its it might be perfect, this is going to be rough fall, I need to figure on transom work on your boat and paint that black looks like b paint:eek:, I now its not and the sides like you said need to grow on a person, they llook like maybe adding silver somewhere make it blend better so paint and thats it. compared to the others I am looking at that need paint transom whole done #2 30 supthens and one thats been instorage for 12yrs or more but looks new for 17,000 twin 454s so I would run that until I killed motors. and the new hulls I am looking at a 28 07 or 08 hull joker a sutphen 277 2010, and way off left over sutphen 32 red my favor it color haha but a wicked high price for 07 or 06 its not finished so. its tough I was all set one 30 was stripped and we were going to trade plus cash, but yours needs the least work what yr is the trailer and I need to set a road trip to at lest look at it and then talk about hp and drive. what hull are you looking at. the joker is a real fast hull but less room in cockpit theres a used one to they daid they would sell minus motor drive its a 2000, I wished yours was a lil newer thats all. but the red design is growing on me haha. well got to run if anyone can get back on the questions on the last three threads I posted on thanks about height speeds, if a 500hp with raised x would run 72 I could see95 to 100. the joker will run 106 or 8 with 900 hp been done. I set my X at 17 3/4 which would be in the 4" range even with the 7" setback of the ITS..

I've not had my motor on the dyno just yet but thinking I will be in the 750 ish range when It makes it there..

I think Martin's single 28 is running 70 with around 500hp. His X is a little higher. Plugging the hole and raising the X on mine would be the ticket for you. Pretty simple job if you've done some glasswork before. That's funny you say add some silver to the graphics because thats exactly what the painter and I where talking about doing. The trailer is a 2004 Nextrail and in great condition. You need to come take a look...it won't disapoint. It may be a little older but you got to remember these boats were being built then with materials that are considered the standard today. Not saying they were ahead of their time but no expense or workmanship was spared. You won't find a single stress crack or wet spot anywhere. This hull is solid and built tough as hell.....

I will second what jbub is saying on the quatlity as the lamination & build quality on these boats are Excellant !! I'm sure John has as well but I have been All over my boat many times over & even with the power it had & the fact that the past owner is notorious for running hard along with its short life it spent living in Big water it also doesn't have a single sterss crack Anywhere !! All Vinyl ester & balsa core all throuout the entire hull & upper deck is a hard to beat lamintaion..

Hence "the most notorious 28 Saber"....:D

hey parn the boat your talking about has twin turbos and runs in the 115 range

starting a new project myself dropping in a 555 780 dynoed hp, praying for mid 80s also looking for a extension box . cant decide between cmi big elbow tops or stainless gen 3 manifolds any thoughts. also looking at having the bottom blueprinted.

Now that sounds like a great project keep us updated
