Need help with drive height!?!?!?!?!?!?!????
Hello boaters my name is Brian.I have a white 28' Saber. I posted a question but got no response. My transom is uncut and I will be installing Bravo's with Stellings set back boxes. I'm not sure about the drive height. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Did you call Doug at Saber, he might be able to help you. I can measure mine for you if it will help, but I am not running boxes. I think my propshafts were around 31/2" below the running surface at the transom. I also know that due to the depth I am limited to old school props like a mirage or bravo 1. With boxes I think you would have to raise you x quite a bit. If you have a standard hatch and you raise your x much you will probably have to mod it, since mine at factory height doesnt have much clearance between the flame arrestor and hatch. Off topic, if you are anywhere near MI we are putting on a Saber run this summer, check out the thread below.

Thank you for the replies ! The boat l think was built for the rum runners race team. It was setup for outboards. the v berth area was unfinished and the seating was three across with the driver in the middle. All the glass work is done ,most of it was in the bilge . There is very little difference between the outboard and twin I/O. The new interior will be three across but the middle seat will be removable for ease getting down below. It took alot of time but the three across I thought looked cool ! Power will BBC without the blowers, the size of the gas lines running to four carbs makes me nerves. I really like the way its built with vinyl ester and it has pleasing lines. If only l could get it done.
