Panthers

Looking to get back into boating, checking out available Panthers. I had an '86 with 400 Cyclones/TRS. There are a few on Boat Trader, anyone know any histories on them or know of some for sale? There is a white '88 at LOTO-anyone know that boat? Thanks, Clay

Last fall I bought a `86 Panther with twin 502s. Very happy with it! Good luck!

I don't know no '88s, but I'm in an intimate (and costly) relationship presently with a white '89 there - all original graphics. Is that the one?

You can find them pretty reasonable, but it's important to find someone not brainwashed or married to "lake prices". Dealers like ABOS cause the prices are higher, but real numbers come from NADA.

Mintish, it's an '88, white with 330's and bravos at Ozark Yacht Brokers. Info says only 390hrs and looks clean. Do you know this boat? Thanks, Clay

Re: Panthers

There was sort of a plainjane one a year older than mine last year at Glencove. The thing that struck me was it was priced kind of reasonable for condition, age, being at a dealership and such. . . . maybe $28 or 29k at the time.

Nothing more than that, sorry. This one had some mildew and wear, maybe you found a better one. You can hit the NADA site and get pricing on a couple diff boats per session. You may have found a rational deal.
