Scarab III for sale 34ft

3 Attachment(s)
A friend of mine has asked me to see if anyone has anyintrest in his scarab III. It's and 84 but in nice shape for its year. He looking to get 27k out of it but has to move it so he is open for offers.

Here are a few pictures.

He does not know how many ours are on the motors. The run very well.

The owner is in his late 60's and has taken very good care of the boat. It has been babied. TRS drives with Borg Trannies. Motors are 454's and when new were around 450 to 500 hp. They both still run perfect.

The dash been been completely updated I will post some pictures of that once I make it to the marina to take them.

Thanks Rob

Clean boat, but not sure he will get that. Someone is going to have to be looking for that specific boat. Its a buyers market right now.

Tell him good luck.....

What would be a realistic sell price that would increase his chances of selling it quickly.

He is motivated to move it fast. And is open to offers. He wanted me to start a 27k I felt it was a little high as well.

Opinions appreciated.

Thanks Rob

I have been trying to sell my 1989 34 as well (for months) and have not had much action on a $29K or offer listing. I have posted it here and on Boat Trader. A few calls from the Off Shore listing and none off Boat Trader.

It's tough to sell a good boat cheap when you've put $9K - $10K in it over the past two years.

FYI - I have had two offers in the low $20 range.

I am in the exact same situation, but with an '86. Put at least 20K in over two years and can't sell for 30K. It sucks. I'm gonna try ebay next.

Good luck with Ebay - I bought mine back in the winter and paid over 30K but it was absolutely cherry with new paint, dash, and fresh motors. Incl trailer radar arch and covers. Thought I was doin OK then it ate and puked a valve in the starbord engine the week before memorial day. i am getting her back in the water the beginning of next week with two new motors. Don't want a repeat!!

I do love that old scarab look so I'm stil not too salty.
