Pro, I have a 22.3 scarab. Based on Patchy's math, It'll do about 358 miles per hour, but here on earth it dings 70, not GPS'd. I wanted a Larry Smith, but the wallet ruled that out. I think this boat has been a wonderful way to delve into the realities of what it takes to own a "performance" boat. Can hardly imagine these big boats, and what it takes to keep em alive and well.
I was going to buy that same Scarab last year.Drove clear out to Misourri last summer from Colorado and did a sea trial and the motor blows up 10 minutes into the sea trial. He had a 502ci procharged motor that detinated due to poor quality fuel. The entire motor grenaded. Oh well....worked out for the best.Got my current boat. |
Just Put up this page .. Just playing with pics of the Orange boat !!
