21 excel prop?
 

I have a 1990 454 running 3 blade 23 quicksilver turning 5100-5200rpms. Seems i keep blowing hubs. Anyone have any suggestions? would like to know a good reliable top end (speed) prop. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

23p mirage is going to be the best prop or maybe a 23p mirage + i am running a 24 hydro and am looking to go back to a 3 blade 25p.I may have my old mirage 23p around solid hub.

how much power are you running? my 1990 did not like the 23 mirage, would not carry the bow and I spun a bunch of hubs with mine also. went to solid hubs.
found that the bravo 1 was a much better match to the hull. In a hydro anything over a 22" quad IV generated too much stern lift.
I am presently running a 28" B1 behind a 525sc. just about as big as I think I can go on this hull.
you'll find the B1 gives a higher cruise, better handling, better ride, better fuel economy, and you'll only lose 1 or 2 mph on top end.
