Get a generic adjustable one from West Marine. All boats I've seen use senders that operate in the same resistance range.

Thanks Guys Thats What I Was Thinking But Was Not Sure If It Would Work With My Gauges.

VDO discontinued the particular line of gauges in my 1990, but they had replacement sets. You might want to call the guys at www.egauges.com because they had some older ones lying around a couple years ago. You could also try to reach VDO HQ in Winchester, Virginia, they do repairs.

Finally I got tired of searching for 1990 VDO stuff, eventually upgraded everything to Livorsi in 2005, pretty much matching what came original.

I had mine fail about two years ago. I just removed the floatassembly and superglued the magnet back onto the float. When they fall of they usually stick to the sending unit instead of floating away.Mike
