Restoring a 22' Scarab
3 Attachment(s)
Here is a 22' Scarab I just finished painting for a customer. He is in the process of a complete restoration of it. He took it from my shop to Derebery's, where it is getting a new 600hp 540 installed. Then on to the upholstery shop for a new interior and then trailer repairs. I have always liked these little boats and I think it is cool when people fix them up.

That is a cool paint job.Wont the clear coat crack on the bow if people walk on it.600hp on the lite of a boat could be alot of fun.Hope he has external steering.

Pro, Thanks for the compliment and to answer your question, no the clear will not crack from people walking on it or any other reason. The paint is more flexible than the fiberglass, so the boat will crack before the paint will. It is also very durable and will not fade or oxidize either. You are correct that with 600hp, it will not be a boring ride and I am sure he plans on adding hydraulic steering. |
customtouch, great looking Scarab. I always like your paint jobs.
