Looking to Buy a 1980's Scarab III
 

Hi,

My wife and I have been pre-approved a certain amount for a Scarab III. If you have one up for sale that is $25,000 or thereabout please let me know with a trailer. I had a boat that was basically purchased, only to find out that the owner replaced the TRS' with Alpha 1's. I was too concerned that it would hold up to the 454's so I let it go. I'm returning my loan check today that I had for this boat.

We are eager to buy and our loan is ready to go. Please post here or PM me if you're interested. We are located in Virginia, but as long as you have a trailer we can have it delivered from most of the US.

Sorry Bro I have been taking care of some family isuess..Well I don't have my hands on the new engines yet,so I cannot really in good mind sell her till I have everything back together,I saw mid 70's wilh the 525SC's...so the 650hp's should give me more...I don't want to hold you up..so do what you gotta do...but it is close to the end of the season and I've loaded up this boat right...(new full hydrolic steering ect..) let me know how it works out...Dave

We have a super clean 1989 for sale. The boat has factory imron paint. It is a one owner boat that has been kept inside a Hi and Dri since new. It has been used in fresh water only. The owner had 2 complete brand new 496 HO's put in the boat in 2002. It has about 50 hrs. since new motors. Let me know if you are interested.

Is that you Bob? If so, thank you so much again. You've been a big help and I sincerely thank you for your patience and your hlep. I also am extremely thankful for the patience of glassdave, too, for how long it took for my shipper to pick it up. I'm looking forward to enjoying the boat in just a little over a month or so. I might have what you are looking for, a 1985 Scarab III, boat is clean and has a nice shine, 400H, twin 454 TRS drives just rebuilt ($5K spent having them rebuilt), boat hours approx. 700 hrs -- motors have been rebuilt, runs good, silent choice, heat & A/C, modern looking graphics on hull (approx. 8K in graphics), booming sound system. Boat has spent its winter in-doors. Boat is clean inside and out with a 1995 triple axel Tropic Trailor. I am looking for $30K -- Steve @ 847-561-5669

dont mention it, it was not in the way in the least. You are going to love the ScarabIII. I have a 38 Donzi ZX and also an 89 all original ScarabIII and to tell the truth the Scarab is the one that is easiest to do long weekends on. It is a very comfortable boat to say the least and is well layed out. Glad to help out a fellow ScarabIII owner:D

There is a really nice 34' Scarab III on ebay. I bid on it, but stopped at 24,900. I think his reserve is pretty close to that.
It has 400Hp 454'S, TRS drives rebuilt in 2007, 700 hours on the boat, newer interior. All in all, a pretty nice boat. Get on ebay, go to ebay motors and put in keywork scarab. Hope this helps!
