what ever happend to the 38 that was painted like an outlimitsblue or purple w/flames,blower motors etc. was in california was one of the best looking ive seen was wondering what ever became of it, and is the new owner ready to sell?

Was that the 89 refit to 2000s model? If so I agree with you that one was a beaut. Still have the photos. Great colour scheme with the purple/yellow with yellow cockpit.

Well I don't know if we're talking about the same one here but this is the one I like. The one you guys are thinking of might be the one redone in purple with the bubble scheme on the side. It finished on ebay yesterday. The seller wants to much for it. The one I like sold quite a while ago.

that boat is also from maryland it used to have 1100hp innovations with #5s on boxes thats why the tall scopes

Flat Deck, I know you are mistaken.
I purchased this boat in August of 2006 from Alexi at Boostpower. He owned boat and rigged it for his parents in 2002. I am second owner. Alexi acquired boat from Wellcraft as Light Lay Up with no rigging. Alexi was driver for Scarab racing in late 90's (Conseco Wellcraft Scarab) with Nigel Hook on throttles . See ( Poker Runs America -Speed Zones) for details. As far as you selling it in June of 2007, please go to Florida Power Boat Club web site (April 2007 Spring Key West Run) pictures, look for pictures with Andreasen as identifier. You will see my family and friends had a great time on "YOUR BOAT."

This boat was also showcased (one page of Boating in Paradise) and On (Sunsports TV) Spring Key West Run.

38 Flatdeck, Can you tell me a little bit about the boat. Was it an '89 upgraded? I think it you did a great job on her. That colour scheme just looks fantastic. Who did you sell it to & do they still own it? Additionally, there were never any pics posted of the interior. DId you upgrade inside as well?

Both of you are right. I was at the factory when the original owner brought it back & sued Wellcraft because he claimed it was unstable over 110. The owner ordered it special & Donnie Wadek rigged it. I could've bought the boat from the factory with no motors for less than 80k. I had a good friend that was the New England area factory warranty rep & he introed me to Donnie. Wellcraft didn't fight the lawsuit they just took the boat back & gave the guy his money back. Donnie told me the spent alot of extra time in knife edging the bottom & yes it was a light kevlar layup. The alt owner did have big innovations in it with #5 drives. Donnie told me he got it up to mid 1-teens on Sarasota bay. The took it up to Chesapeake & spooked himself at a little over 110. That is the story on that boat I had forgot all about it until I read this post & I looked at that boat a dozen times in the claasifieds.
