Scarab Panther Questions......
Hello to all!
My father bought a 43 Wellcraft Portofino new in 1987, sitting next to it was a 38KV in the Miami Vice paint that made me drewl ever since.....anyway we sold the Portofino a few years back and I came across a Panther 30' with the Miami vice paint, and I am in LUST. Been out of boats for awhile so any help suggesitons appreciated. The Boat looks good, need some TLC cosmetically and the price is right at $30K. What are some of the pitfalls I should be aware of? I will be able to store it at my house INDOORS in a 40X60Ft Hangar, I want to use it on the weekends as a toy just to make lots of NOISE and give the chicks rides...no racing just a fun cruiser. I admit I am going into this a little blind. I am an airplane guy with some good boat knowledge thanks to my family....but not as much as I would like especially about GO-FAST boats. ANY HELP=COMMENTS-FREE ADVICE is greatly appreciated in advance! Randy Orlando FL |
I've seen many panther for sale for looooong time at 30. even saw around 20 something sitting unsold. I'd try to get closer to 20. But if it was all redone, fresh engines... they ride pretty well in the rough stuff!

Thanks!
Wonder if I can find a mechanic that knows Scarab boats in the Central Florida area? |
I'm sure you will! scarab or any other, they're basically all the same!
Can you post pictures of this panther? |
survey
Get a survey. They will be able to provide a lot of information about the condition of the boat structurally. Very beneficial to me during the purchase of my Scarab 31 Excel.

Survey.
