1988 Nova Spyder
Does anyone have any knowledge of this boat? Twin 330 Bravo's. How does it handle, poor handleing under 40 MPH only being 25.5 feet? What is the difference between the Nova hulls and the Scarab hulls?

Nova Spyder
Nice boats, well constructed hull. I personally own one with twin small blocks and really like it. The Majority of my boating group consists of 311 Formulas and I run right with them. With the big block option they tend to be a little tail-heavy in comparison to a single BBC or twin SBC's. All in all very nice nice boats that handle well in the snot.

its a wellcraft, if your thinking of getting one, have the stringers and transom checked. once you fix those there great boats

nice boat, handles great in ruff water & should cruise nice at 35mph

Love my 23 Nova, even with the 454/300. While I may not do 65, the thing will cruise at 35-40 all day long. It measures out around 24.5 and handles great. I safely run Lake Michigan with the wife and kids. There are faster boats, but if you are looking for a safe performance cruiser with a great hull, all at a great price you can't go wrong with a Nova. Best deal for a used boat in the 10-18K range.
By the way my 92 is for sale in IL, there is also another one up your way on Boat Trader. |

They are nice boats, and they TRULY are ALL of 26 feet, 3 inches. I also boat primarily in Lake Michigan, and have never hesitated in crossing the lake to Milwaukee for a weekend. Very nice riding boats.
