Still searching for a MV Scarab 38kv!

Hi guys,

A lot of you already helped me with my search for a 87 MV Scarab 38 kv. Special thanks to Randy and Jim!! I'm planning a trip on june 10 to the USA to make up my mind and buy one. Any other boats that you know of that are available are still welcome. The more to choose from the better the choice, right? Hope you have some leads..cheers, seb PS: Prefer turn-key

You mean turn wrenches?

That boat is overpriced for it's terrible condition anyway.

10K would be all the money I think, but there is always a dufus out there. :(

I know he was looking for turn key but, just thought I would put it out there for anyone else............ It sits on ebay now. And yes, it does look like it needs alot of work,....

I was refering to the ebay ad, but it was kind of a joke also.

No, not mad at all, didnt even take the time to read the add.............. I could only imagine what it said though. Still a cool boat........ Could be another cool project but, it would probably add up to the same amount as the apache heritage redo.......... :0

Do you have a link?

Is this the "Double Vision" boat?

JetJock 05-07-2008 10:21 AM

The Miami Vice Edition Scarabs that I know of:

1. Michigan...."Double Vision" a little rough.....:{
2. New Jersey 1986 KV, needs some TLC
3. Florida..Mine....Mint condition and NOT FOR SALE! :}
4. Ohio, Jims PERFECT EXAMPLE in MUSEUM condition.
5. BANK REPO PENDING Boat in Syracuse NY, one motor needs work, lots of questions about condition--little answers, was missing Radar Arch, but could be brought up to speed.
6. Atlanta Ga boat "STRESS TEST" looks good and not for sale. Search for "Freddie's Scarab" on Myspace

I would like to keep a record of others....they seem to be rare these days.

--and FORGET about the kid with the 21' foot Scarab that claims his is a Miami Vice boat! HA! HA! He has MILLIONS of web sites and youtube videos about this boat--which is pretty much a FRAUD since it was used ONLY at Universal Studios STUNT SHOW...NOT MIAMI VICE!----

I did look at a Panther painted in Miami Vice colors in Cocoa Beach Fl, it needs some TLC but overall a nice boat.

One thing is for sure, they are getting rare for turn key ready to go BABIED! I looked at a lot of ROUGH examples--and you would spend $$$$$ to get them up and running.
