Was at Kellys Island , Lake Erie Ohio this weekend. Had a guy in a powequest read a sign I have telling about the history of this boat and his reply was "Yea SO ?" I guess we cant all like these old crates but I sure do! Oh well, my boat is worth more than his and is increasing in value. Gotta get me a MR T starter kit and some coolban shades so I fit in.
Cheers

Yea So...well guess envy isn´t just a Finnish thing

There´s another Camera boat from the series in Norway and a good friend has DJ´s personal boat used in season 4.
It was imported as early as 1989 already over here and has had various owners and has been confiscated by the IRS once

Check the Wide stripe as all the Movie boats had but none of the MV editions.
(Edit I see you responded on this on another thread)
The current repaint has some errors as it´s a mix of a upto 87 and 88 up (stripes silver instead of white etc..)
This is the poster boat with the girl on deck and had That paint on while arriving here although the HIN no is a 1987.
There´s greetings under the laminate from Wellcraft factory workers to DJ in it which I´ve witnessed personally.

And it was love at first sight....
Sadly I can´t provide a pic of boat in question while in my shop...
note the Silver outline stripes compared to white on older models, Silver Arch... black/darkblue stripes on deck insted of purple plus black stripes on the sides of the cockpit and white Scarab script.
The one on the left is Smackys I believe...a 86(?) model with white air intake grills, 1987=black and different livery on the bolsters and seats too.
the Arch differs in colours also on the 86/87 models (87 having a fading like the side stripe) and the 88 up has a totally silver one but the 89 model has a black/dark blue template on the sides.

A little darker paint
the TOP picture is a KV that is for sale on Craigslist and repainted "Double Vision" I think it was a repo from Florida back in the 1990's...
The boat in the last picture with Don and Michael is my personal boat in its original colors before the restoration in 2002 with new paint and 500EFI motors! I even have a placard on the dash that says "This Boat was REBUILT for JETJOCK and not for Don J" I have documentation and Wellcraft told me so, even though they pretty much have no idea what a 38KV Scarab is these days! It's worth at LEAST $400,000K! USD I wouldn't take a penny less (HA! HA! HA!)
NOTICE THE PAINT DOWN THE SIDE! GOSH! IT IS STRAIGHT BACK!
GASP!
Also--for you Miami VIce Geeks, which episode has the KV in it with NO ARCH and NO ENGINE HATCHES? Yup, a sunpad and NO ARCH!
Bonus points for naming the episode with a KV that has a sunpad and an Arch.

My boat in 1987, Wellcraft "Miami Vice Edition" was in Miami for about 4 months before sold to a Large car dealer in Annapolis MD, then to Curtis Propeller where they used it as a show boat and re-engined it in 2002 with 500EFI's, new Transom, Bravo One drives and new paint--no more teal color on the top deck and removed the railing to update the look.
