side vents

Does anyone know where to get new/used plastic side vents for a 96 Scarab 26? Mine are cracking in a couple of areas near the screw holes and since I live on the Mississippi River in IL, I won't exactly be boating very soon.

I was thinking of taking them off and replacing or trying to find someone to repair them while I have some down time.
Or, does/ has anyone know how to fix them??

Take them to a machine shop and have them cut you new ones. Thats what I did and then had them powder coated

I don't think these could be redone in metal. They are all curvy, with compound curves.

Thanks for the reply!

I imagine that you will need to fix them. A fiberglass person could fix them easily. Mine are starting to crack close to the screw holes as well. I remmeber a post of about a year ago when someone was looking for a front scoop(vent) for the same type of Scarab. Wellcraft acts as if this Scarab never existed so they are no help of course.

good luck.
