Classic Scarab

Just joined OSO and enjoy seeing all the boats. I found my 79 Scarab 300 in original condition from the original owner.
It has a handful of nicks here and there, but overall in really nice shape. I have been detailing and started to refininsh the teak. A work in progress, but I enjoy every minute I can get .

Too big.

I suggest joining PHOTOBUCKET and upload them there, and then do the same here with the internet link. It is not as hard as it sounds.

Thanks for the info...

I think there is something wrong with the site- it won't allow pics to be uploaded of any size. Sent a message to Admin but still have not heard back.

Nice boat!

Mine was near original when I got it but the interior was trashed. Just had it redone.

I will try to get some more pics out there. Anyone have some good contacts for parts (any and all)

Some more pics of my 79... Teak work sure is time consuming, but the end result is worth it. Wish I had more time, but things like work always get in the way of fun.

JetJock 07-08-2008 08:50 AM

Wow!

Now that is an OLD SCHOOL CLASSIC!

Rookie 07-08-2008 10:27 AM

HOLY CRAP all I can say is "CLEAN!" scarab you have there.

I ran across this picture of a boat VERY similar to your's for sale a couple years ago. both are very similar. I like the graphics of the older boats, they were simple and unclutered lines and not all the swooshy cr@p that you see on the newer boats

scottie150 07-09-2008 12:17 AM

Very, very nice. Hard to find clean classics like that. Congrats!

Wsh3marine 07-09-2008 05:30 AM

That looks the same other then the big "Scarab" on the side.
I agree, sometimes simple looks a whole lot better.
Thanks for the pic!

Bimini Top

Anyone have a bimini top on their 30' Scarab?
If so, what length and height do you have? I was going add one, but not sure what will look good. Thanks in advance for any and all input.

senzaspectre 07-18-2008 06:29 PM

Will not look good..... sorry.
