What #'s are you seeing with the fresh power?
The drive refresh looks real good. What will you be making for power with the reconfigured engines? |

I should be a little over 600HP, I was at 590HP with my Merlins but they had extensive amount of work done to them. I am losing over 200lbs going with the aluminum heads. The Merlins weighed 82lbs ea. (stock GM 188 weighs a little over 70lbs ea.) and the darts weigh about 30lbs. |

With the 590hp configuration what were you seeing for speeds and what blade(s) combo have you played with? |
I have ran 25 Mirages with a lot of cup added, 27 4blade Hydromotives, 26 Bravo1's and 29 4 blade Spinellis.
The most I could get was 78 mph and my tranny would slip. The Hydro's would blow out the tranny around 65mph if I did not baby it and they handled like crap. I have tried Hydros before (24p and 25p with my old power) and without Hydraulic steering I thought I was going to die.The Spinellis were what I feel the best handling and feeling props, I REALLY like them. They were loose and fast (minus the tranny slipping) They carried the bow great and the angle of attack into the waves is great. I have a set of round ear 26 spinellis that I need to try when get this thing wet again. They look like a Mirage+ 4 blade. Hopefully without the tranny slipping I will see 80 I need to get my RPM's up. My RPM: 25Mirage 5500 78 26Bravo1 they were a mismatch pair I found out later 27Hydro 5000 77 29Spinelli 4800 78 (cruise 3800 62) |

gumbya55:
Are you sur that is a 1990? I had a 1994 and I was pretty sure that 1993 was the first year of the 22 Scarab. In fact the first year did not have a molded in windshield, but in 1994 the windshield was molded into the deck mold. Check that last two digits on the HIN. |
If you saw the interior setup you would def know its a 90. The windscreen was a retro-fit.

Yeah, that's a 21, same hull as the 22, but they added the swim platform to the length in 92/93?
That paint looks bad ass though, can you throw up a couple more pics? -Rob |
