i am looking to buy a 26 larry smith scarab. i was woundering if anyone would know if there are any out ther for sale. I want one of the 6 that where made with the single step bottom and the 500hp motor. Please let me know if any can help. thanks...

yeah i saw that but i am looking for the F1 boat with the step hull. that one is an older boat The one i am looking for is 2000 model year and only 6 made. thanks for the post.

Shane B in Cali who is here on the board, or used to be, had one for sale for awhile. I dont believe it sold. If you can track him down that may payoff.

Hey tides, did you find the boat that you were looking for? I have uncovered a 2000 26 for sale in CA. It is what you are looking for. White with purple/yellow graphics on a black trailer, I did not have my camera. I can get you pics.

Oh, it is the one that you desire! The heart is a carbed 500 mated to a bravo. Single step hull design. Cockpit is setup for 2 man operation. Small backseat with no cabin. Ready to run. The owner is asking 30K? Camera locked up due to no battery after shot 4.

I remember one sinking at a race and sitting on a trailer for a while. Don't know if the one in the pic is it.

yeah there have been about 2 of the 6 that have been torn up bad. There is a guy here in houston that has owned two of the boats. He is familiar with all the boats. I love the boats i am ready to find more about this one.

I had asked the salesman if the boat was formerly owned by Shane Barrett. He looked at me quizacally. He has no idea. Condition is fair on the outside (did not have time to scrutinize). Good luck. I will pm you the pertinant info.

I am curious as to what you found out about the boat. Good/bad news? I have NO information, except the September 2000 Powerboat with a performance review.

i have talked to the sales office but they do not have much info on the boat. But i will keep you posted. I am trying to get intouch with the owner.
