TRS's? What's the length/weight of your KV? What does KV stand for? I'm guessing you are carb'd?

Hey Erik, naturally aspirated 502's Gen V blocks .30 over. Drives are TRS. Scarab KV's are 38' and listed as 9100 lb dry weight. Mine was optioned with a Kevlar hull which makes it a little lighter.

I'm guessing the KV stands for Kevlar?

At first that's what I thought when they came out, but found later that the KV designation didn't automatically get you a Kevlar hull. Kevlar was an option for the KV when ordered new. The KV's are a spin off of the Kamma Version Scarabs and I was once told that KV designated that.

well - just an update. My bud Lance was up today. We threw on a set of Bravo1 22p's that he brought up. Boat drove better all the way around. Even got into the rev limiter. Looking at the hull he noticed a few things that can definately be improved on. He also believes that the x-dimension is a bit too deep, so although expensive, he thinks it might also benefit from a set of 2" shorty lowers. I now have a good list of tweaks and upgrades to work on this winter. Thanks again for all your inputs.

Eric the 31' boats are going to be faster with a 3 blade. My old 1993 Kevlar hulled 31' Scarab ran a best speed of almost 75 with 502 mags. The bottom paint probably is a large factor there. I had 25" Mirage props. Ive heard that when you get big power, blowing the props out is an issue so people go to 4 blade Bravo1s'. My current boat had 25" mirage plus props (I think) originally, and now I am running 28" Bravo 1's.
