I don't think they own the boat. According to Randy at Cumberland it is a brokerage unit.Somebody must still own it.

What was the story with the KV before you owned it? How long did the restoration take? I am sure you have a great story and that boat is really the nicest one out there! |

He's hooked. :D Just out of curiousity, what ever made you decide to sell the Vice boat? |
I think we all are "Hooked"
I am still in shock at the number of oohs and ahhh's about my 1987 KV at the JAX Airshow this weekend. Something about the old school look and the classic "Miami Paint" down the side. I couldn't be happier that I joined the Scarab club~ |

I remember talking to the original owner at Red Eyes Dock Bar while he was fueling up ( 6 fuel tanks)
hmmmmmmmm, Then it is not a brokerage boat but a used boat of Cumberland marine. Very interesting.
Now that is a lot of fuel!
Got rid of the vice boat because I was threw restoring it. Now for my next venture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sure wish I would've known.
smokin joe....
they never have a price on anything.that boat would be nice in a twin stagger setup.
that would be a nice combo! But..................... there are very few 38 or 43s with staggered motors. would be nice to find the don Johnson special 43 with twins
lake cumberland marine also has the other 43 for sale less power/drives that could be setup as twin staggered. wasnt there one for sale on lotto that was a staggered for sale thought it had blue and yellow some reason on it.

thanks Steve! The asking price right now is 295k. I think they are out of there mind. Its an old boat, Non stepped hull, they are not sterlling motors they just rebuilt them years ago. They will not stand behind them. They need updating! Drives need rebuilding, trans. need rebuilding. And you still just have an 100mph boat. For that kind of money , thats slow! You would have to invest at least 100k to get the boat updated and running in poker runs like the old days.
Yikes!!
It's a cool boat, but... |
When Joe had the boat he kept it perfect. No expense was ever spared. When Joe was trying to sell it I don't believe he was even able to get much over $125K so he donated it. Definetly a "one off". I think the best it ran wa like 107-8 or so.
when I called about it it was 150k owner traded it into LCM and the motors were innovations rebuilt by sterling fresh before they accepted the trade no back up by sterling but stated rebuilt from sterling. Also the props were there I actually had a person (OSOer) crawl all around it with me on the phone and he checking it out to see if it would be worth a survey for next stage or not it sounded good, and then as I started to line up a deal and deposit a medica hardship came across so couldn't purchase. If it werent for the med con it would be in my barn
