dont know, all I know 1 0f 3 motors need some work. I'm waiting to receive pics and info from him. I also know of an 82 38' KV for sale that is nice.

It is a 1990 scarab 50 meteor...it has 3 fresh 454 gen 6 engines with the best of everything in them, hyd rollers, ported heads, balanced, stainless valves, etc..440 hp each on dyno with manifolds on..one mill has some water in it due to leaking exh manifold..other 2 run perfect..TRS drives and trans, all done by doller offshore..hull is perfect..has about 200 hours on hull since new..no trailer..maybe around xxk?

A meteor is my dream boat.

yes if it has twin Arnesons and No power then I´m Game.... Put some big inch diesels in it and let 'er rip.
There´s one with the abovementioned combo overhere.
Only way to power a 50 footer IMO wisely.

Diesels may be the best all around option, but they miss out on on of the most important traits...........the sound of powerful Big Block Chevys as they come up on power. It is all about the sound.

The most important Trait is the FEEL of REAL POWER and TORQUE on a big daycruiser like a Meteor or a Sunseeker Superhawk etc. Regarding the sound...
Diesels can be had as V8´s ..Mercedes M.A.N , Scania all make ones with Big Hp and displacements.. will be tough fits on a Meteor but the one over here has CAT 3208´s.
The sound of those on power will make any Big Block Chevy derivate wet its pants.
And Yes I´m a BB Chevy nut myself but also like them Bigger engines at 1000 or so c.i.

The sounds of those are more sofisticated and less tiresome when your out with your boat and can take long hauls better and that´s the nature of boats in this size, not just rip up for an hour or two, just ask Jassman on the board.
