Throttle question
This may be a stupid question, but although I've been boating for ove 25 years, I am new to th eperformance arena. Why are there different variations in the layout of 'Zero-Effort' throttles for twin engines? I have seen some manufacturers who put both shifters and throttles together, and I have seen others stagger them or keep the throttles in th ecenter and the shifters to the outside. Is it just a matter of preference? If so, which is the preferred method and why? Can the layout of the controls be changed or would I need to order a different contol?

Most of the throttles are "modular" so the user or builder can stack them as they like. It seems like most people like the throttles in the center with the shifts on the outside so your hand will fit easily over both throttles at the same time. I have also seen the throttles to the side closest the driver and the shifters together to the outside.

I like both of the shifters togeather so that I can shift one handed and still keep one hand on the wheel.
