Anyone Convert A 20' Sprint From A 6 To A 8 cyl.?
 

I'm just wondering if it has ever been done? I can pick up a 270 MerCruiser really cheap but I'm not sure where I would get a good used outdrive and what changes I would need to do. I'm sure its way too much trouble but wanted to know anyway. I need to make a new motor box so I may just make it the foot or so longer so that in the future a 8 cyl. could fit, I'm not sure if it needs to be wider. Also I wonder how much more top end this would give me.
